Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Thursday
Thus far for Thursday in the Southern Plains trading has very limited on very light
demand. Not enough sales for a market test. Wednesday was the last reported market
with live sales at 125.00. In Nebraska for Thursday trading has been limited on light
demand. Not enough sales for an adequate market trend. However, a few live sales sold
at 125.50. Last week's established market saw live sales from 122.00-124.00 and the
bulk of dressed sales at 198.00. In Colorado so far for Thursday trading has been at
a standstill. Last week live sales sold at 122.00. In the Western Cornbelt for
Thursday trading has been mostly inactive on very light demand. Last week live sales
sold from 123.00-124.00 and dressed sales from 198.00-200.00.
