Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Thursday, 2/28/13
Negotiated cash trade was moderate on moderate demand in all major feeding regions.
Compared to last week, in the Texas Panhandle, live sale sold 5.00 higher at 128.00.
In Kansas Compared to last week, live sale sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher from 127.00 to
129.00, the bulk trading at 128.00. In Nebraska, compared to last week, live sales
sold 4.00 higher from 127.00 to 129.00, the bulk of the trade at 128.00. Dressed
sales sold 5.00 to 6.00 higher from 203.00 to 204.00, bulk of the trade at 204.00.
In Colorado, compared to last week, live sales sold 6.00 higher at 129.00, with some
dressed sales at 205.00. In the Western Cornbelt, compared to last week, live sales
sold 3.00 to 4.00 higher from 126.00 to 128.00. Dressed sales sold 6.00 to 7.00
higher from 202.00 to 204.00, with the bulk of the trade from 202.00 to 203.00.
