Oklahoma Cattle on Feed down 10 percent

The Oklahoma inventory of cattle on feed for feedlots with capacity of 1,000 or more head, totaled 305 thousand head on March 1, 2013, down 6 percent from the previous month but down 10 percent from the March 1, 2012 level.

Placements during February were 37 thousand head, down 23 percent from a year ago. Marketings of fed cattle during February were 55 thousand head, down 10 percent from 2012. Other disappearance during February totaled 2 thousand head.
