Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 04/09/2012
 
Receipts:  468    Last Week:  823    Year Ago:  767
 
Compared to last week: Extremely limited test on feeder steers and 
heifers; not enough sales for an adequate market trend. Receipts were
curbed by the Easter holiday with only one load of steers available in
the offering. Slaughter cows and bulls were mostly steady on a very 
light test. Slaughter cows made up 11 percent of the offering, 
slaughter bulls less than 1 percent, replacement cows 0 percent and 
88 percent feeders. Feeder supply consisted of 60 percent feeder 
steers and bulls, 40 percent feeder heifers. Approximately 53 percent
of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
