Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 04/04/2012

   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 6.00 lower, except 
850 lbs heifers sold steady. Losses on the CME cattle futures have taken a 
toll on cash cattle markets. However, demand remains moderate to good at the 
lower price. Slaughter cattle sold 8.00 lower on dressed sales this 
afternoon at 193.00-194.00. Several groups of replacement heifers sold with 
most going back on feed. Supply included 49 percent steers, 51 percent 
heifers with 82 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
