National Slaughter Cattle Summary - Week Ending August 10, 2012
Compared to last week: Slaughter cattle trade not fully established
by mid-afternoon Friday. Limited sales on a dressed basis sharply
higher but not enough sales for an adequate market trend. Extremely
good movement of slaughter cattle last week after packers moved their

lists for this week. Beef prices showing improvement all week. Summers
heat finally backing off some, however burn bans remain in effect in a
large part of the country and this putting a damper on those back yard
barbeques.
