Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/01/2013
Confirmed: 5114 Last Week: 3984 Last Year: 2220
Compared to last week: Feeder steers mostly 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Feeder
heifers again were lightly tested on a current FOB basis this week but a higher
undertone was noted. Recent increases on the CME board has recouped most of the
declines of last week. Demand good. Supply this week included 100 percent over
600 lbs and 48 percent heifers.
Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB weigh point with a 2-3 percent
shrink or equivalent and with a 5-10 cent slide on calves and 3-6 cent
slide on yearlings from base weights. Current sales up to 14 days for
delivery.
