Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, KS Close for May 10, 2012

Compared with last weeks major advance: Steers 650-900 lbs steady to firm; 900-
1000 lbs firm to 2.00 higher; few 1000-1050 lbs steady. Heifers 700-950 lbs firm
to 3.00 higher, most advance on heifers over 800 lbs. Steers 650 lbs and under,
also heifers 700 lbs and under not enough for an accurate market test, however
an extremely higher undertone noted. Trade active, demand good as buyers were in
the market for all weights, grades and classes of cattle. Receipts 90 percent
600 lbs and over, 4 percent 600 lbs and under, 6 percent slaughter cows and
bull. Feeder supply 60 percent steers and 40 percent heifers.
