Cattle auctions at Americus (106), Calhoun (518), and Greensboro (350).
Receipts Thursday 974 week ago 728 and year ago 1,439. Compared to one week
ago, slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher, bulls 1.00 to 3.00 higher, feeder
steers 1.00 to 3.00 lower, steer calves steady to 2.00 higher, heifers and heifer
calves unevenly steady, replacement cows steady to 3.00 higher.
Slaughter cows 28 percent, slaughter bulls 4 percent and feeders 68 percent. In
the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 46 percent of the run, heifers 42
percent and replacement cows 12 percent, steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled
around 23 percent.
