Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/25/2013
 
Receipts:  3950    Last Week:  4714    Year Ago:  2600
 
   Compared to last week, steers sold mostly steady to 1.00 higher and 
heifers sold steady to 4.00 higher. Demand was good for all offerings 
from a large crowd of buyers. Several large strings of long-time weaned 
calves on hand today with several lots carrying an age/sourced tag. 
Offerings consisted of 95 percent feeders with the balance on bred 
heifers. Steers comprised of 64 percent of the run with near 86 percent 
of the total over 600 lbs.
