When compared to last Thursday`s sale, a light supply of slaughter steers
sold mostly 2.00-3.00 lower. Demand was light on a slow trade due to the
upcoming Easter Holiday. Slaughter cows traded mostly 1.00 higher with good
demand. Slaughter supply consisted of 150 slaughter steers, 65 slaughter
heifers, 433 slaughter cows, 25 slaughter bulls and 26 feeders cattle. All
prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1265-1580 lbs 121.00-124.00.
Choice 2-3 1185-1500 lbs 118.00-122.00.
Holstein Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1305-1640 lbs 106.00-107.50.
Choice 2-3 1315-1590 lbs 102.00-105.00. Select 2-3 1295-1525 lbs 96.00-
98.50.
Slaughter Heifers: Choice 2-3 1165-1285 lbs 116.00-118.50.

Slaughter Bulls: NO TEST
Calves: When compared to last week`s sale, Holstein bull calves sold
sharply higher with number 1 calves trending 20.00-30.00 higher and number 2
and number 3 calves trending as much as 65.00 higher. Demand was very good.
Heifers sold weak with light demand. The PA Department of Agriculture graded
396 head for this Thursday's graded sale. One hundred percent supply Holstein
calves unless otherwise noted. All prices per cwt.
Graded Bull Calves: Number 1 114-128 lbs 156.00-172.00; 94-112 lbs
180.00-190.00; 80-92 lbs 175.00. Number 2 120-128 lbs 152.00; 98-118 lbs
179.00-190.00; 80-96 lbs 171.00-178.00. Number 3 100-130 lbs 125.00; 80-98
lbs 154.00-157.00; 72-78 lbs 100.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 15.00-40.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-105 lbs 125.00-160.00. Number 2 80-
100 lbs 50.00-125.00.
