Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/25/13
 
Receipts:  1,599    Last Week:  1,461    Year Ago:  1,872

   Compared to last week:  Stocker steers under 600 lbs sold mostly 4.00 to 6.00 
lower, few up to 10.00 lower on offerings under 550 lbs; Feeder steers over 600 lbs 
sold steady to 4.00 lower.  Feeder and stocker heifers sold steady to 4.00 lower.  
Feeding cows plus slaughter cows and bulls not well tested.  Demand moderate to good.  
Approximately, 82 percent feeder and stocker cattle; 10 percent slaughter cows with 
the balance feeding cows, slaughter bulls and misc. cattle.  In the feeder supply, 
steers made up 47 percent of the run; heifers 53 percent; steers and heifers over 600 
lbs totaled 38 percent.  All bred stock sold by the head and pairs sold per pair, 
unless otherwise stated.  All bred cows represented to calve before May 15th, unless 
otherwise stated.
