SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages for all
grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB steers 1,319
lbs at 122.97, heifers 1,156 lbs at 121.82. Dressed delivered steers 877 lbs
at 199.12, heifers 827 lbs at 198.48. Weekly boxed beef cutout values for
600-900 carcass weights Choice up 7.33 at 185.12 and Select up 5.92 at
183.12.
National direct feeder pigs last week, per head weighted average prices are
delivered to the buyer's farm. Early weaned and all feeder pigs 1.00 to 3.00 per
head lower. Demand moderate for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash
basis 37.50; 40 lbs cash basis 65.03.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct Barrows &
Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs 62.69, down 0.07. Sows live price 300-450
lbs 48.45, 450-500 lbs 57.29, 500-550 lbs 58.13.
SC Grain on Monday. Corn was mostly 10 to 11 cents higher, processor bids
6.02-6.38. Soybeans were 6 to 13 cents lower; elevator bids 13.97-14.27,
processor bid 14.57, export bid n/a. Wheat was steady to 11 cents higher,
processor bids 6.23-7.00.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 85.73, up
0.44.
