SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages for all
grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB steers 1,322
lbs at 120.61, heifers 1,194 lbs at 120.43. Dressed delivered steers 867 lbs
at 192.96, heifers 801 lbs at 193.26. Weekly boxed beef cutout values for
600-900 carcass weights Choice up 0.66 at 190.66 and Select down 0.21 at 186.37.
National direct feeder pigs last week, per head weighted average prices are
delivered to the buyer's farm. Early weaned pigs and all feeder pigs 1.00 to
3.00 per head lower. Demand was light for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-
12 lbs cash basis 29.40; 40 lbs cash basis 56.95.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct Barrows &
Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs 58.72, down 0.88. Sows live price 300-450
lbs 46.97, 450-500 lbs 54.30, 500-550 lbs 55.91.
SC Grain on Monday. Corn was mixed 42 cents lower to 45 cents higher,
processor bids 6.40-7.45. Soybeans were 12 to 89 cents higher, elevator bids
14.63-15.54, processor bid 15.01. Wheat was mixed 42 cents lower to 3 cents
higher, processor bids 6.20-7.15.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 80.92, down
1.32.
