SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages for all grades,
Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB steers 1,378 lbs at 119.87,
heifers 1,228 lbs at 119.72. Dressed delivered steers 876 lbs at 192.52, heifers 791
lbs at 192.00. Weekly boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice down
3.47 at 189.83 and Select down 1.09 at 183.99.
National direct feeder pigs last week, per head weighted average prices are
delivered to the buyer's farm. Early weaned pigs and all feeder pigs 1.00 per head
higher. Demand moderate on moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis
32.84; 40 lbs cash basis 51.36.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct Barrows & Gilts US
1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 75.15, up 0.09. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 72.69,
450-500 lbs 75.71, 500-550 lbs 78.05.
SC Grain on Monday. Corn was 3 to 4 cents lower, processor bids 5.28-7.60. Soybeans
elevator bids 15.95, processor bid 16.70. Wheat was steady to 4 cents lower, elevator
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was at 84.64, down 0.13.
