Daily National Grain Market Summary
Corn and wheat had slight gains while soybeans closed with solid losses.
Corn rebounded after Wednesday’s losses on strong export sales. Soybeans had
follow through selling and closed with solid losses. Wheat traders mostly
turned to the sidelines with slight gains as wheat is looking at strong yield
production. Corn had weekly export sales well above expectations at 3,472,200
mt (136.7 mb), with 1,331,900 mt (52.4 mb) slated for 2011-12 season. Soybeans
had weekly export sales well above expectations at 1,732,000 mt (63.7 mb) with
598,000 mt (22 mb) slated for 2011-12 season. Wheat had weekly export sales ot
711,500 mt (26 mb) with 256,700 mt (9.4 mb) slated for 2011-12. Wheat closed
mostlt 1-2 cents higher. Corn traded 3-5 cents higher, with KC corn sharply
higher on basis change. Soybeans closed 11-13 cents lower.
