Illinois Grain Prices in Country Elevators
This is Wednesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the
USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Wednesday, with soybeans
slightly higher and corn and wheat closing lower. Technical selling at the
Board of Trade, plus carryover weakness from yesterday's USDA Supply
Demand report, pushed wheat prices lower.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled
corn bids mostly 1 to 3 cents lower at 7.05-7.18. Soybean bids were mixed
at 14.36-14.53.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were
3 to 5 cents lower at 7.16-7.32. Soybean bids were 1 to 3 cents higher at
14.56-14.74.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly 1 to 3
cents lower at 6.96-7.42. Soybean bids were mixed at 14.70-14.92. Wheat
bids were 3 to 8 cents lower at 7.85-8.02.
