Bids as of 9:30 a.m.; Subject to change
Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during August by unit
trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley,
in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods
as specified. All other wheat bids are for full August delivery. Bids
for corn are for 30 day delivery.
September wheat futures in early morning trading trended 5-1/4 to 17
cents per bushel lower than Monday’s closes. Minneapolis December
wheat futures trended six cents per bushel lower than Monday’s close.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for August delivery in unit trains or
barges were not fully established in early trading but were indicated as
mixed, from 14 cents lower to ten cents per bushel higher compared
Monday’s noon bids for August delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for full
August delivery trended 14 cents per bushel lower than Monday’s noon
bids for August delivery, with pressure coming from the lower Kansas City
September wheat futures.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring
Wheat for August delivery were not available as some exporters are not
issuing bids for nearby delivery. Protein scales were five to eight
cents each 1/4 percent protein down to 13 percent protein and zero to two
cents each 1/4 percent protein up to 16 percent protein.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars
for domestic use trended 7-1/2 cents per cwt lower compared to Monday’s
noon bids. The lower Chicago September corn futures pressured cash bids.
Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley trended 7-1/2 to 8-3/4
cents per cwt lower than Monday’s noon bids.
