Grain and soybeans continue to trend higher as the lower dollar lend some
support. Corn saw double digit gains as uncertainty over crop conditions in
Argentina triggered the rally. Soybeans were slightly higher due to spillover
support from corn. Weekly export sales for corn came in below trade
expectations at 439,200 tonnes for the current marketing year and 68,300 for
next year totaling 507,500 tonnes. Soybeans came in at 495,000 tonnes for the
current marketing year and 180,000 for the next year coming in at a total of
675,000 tonnes which was slightly higher than expected. Weekly export sales for
wheat came in below trade expectations at 147,300 tonnes for the current
marketing year and 27,900 for the next year at a total of 175,200 tonnes.
Wheat was mostly 9-17 cents higher. Corn was 9-14 cents higher. Sorghum was
17-21 cents higher. Soybeans were mostly steady to 1 cent higher.
