California Hay Report

   Compared to last week: Prices traded mostly steady to firm in most areas.  
Demand remained very good in all regions on moderate to active trading activity.  
The supply of hay in northern and central valleys of California is very tight.  
Production in Region 3 and 2 is under way.  All prices reported FOB at the stack 
or barn unless otherwise noted. Regions are defined at bottom of report.

Inyo. 
Region 5: Southern California: Kern, Northeast Los Angeles, and Western San 
Bernardino.   
Region 6: Southeast California: Eastern San Bernardino, Riverside, and 
Imperial.

Alfalfa hay test guidelines, (for domestic livestock use and not more than 
10% grass), used with visual appearance and intent of sale Quantitative 
factors are approximate and many factors can affect feeding value.

100% dry matter, TDN both 90% and 100%.
