California Hay Report

Compared to last week: Premium and Supreme hay is mostly steady.  Demand very

light to light on low test hay and good to very good on milk test hay.  Rain

came late last week for region six and got a lot of hay that was layed down.

The Napa earthquake did not affect the hay trade, but a few wells were broke

from the quake in areas close to Napa.  The corn was able to get enough water

this summer and is being cut for silage.  Prices reported FOB at the stack or

barn unless otherwise noted. Regions are defined at bottom of report.
