California Hay Report



   Compared to last week: All classes traded steady on very light demand.  

Region 1 and 2 are done for the year and moisture is forecasted for the area 

again this week.  Snow is in the forecast for the northern mountains this 

weekend and the Rocky Mountains also are forecasted to receive snow, meaning a 

sign of hope for the drought strict ned state.  Prices reported FOB at the stack 

or barn unless otherwise noted. Regions are defined at bottom of report.

Region 6: Southeast California: Eastern San Bernardino, Riverside, and 

Imperial.



Alfalfa hay test guidelines, (for domestic livestock use and not more than 

10% grass), used with visual appearance and intent of sale Quantitative 

factors are approximate and many factors can affect feeding value.
