Idaho Weekly Hay Report

   Compared to last week, Alfalfa steady to weak. Trade moderate to active. 

Demand remains good. Retail/feed store/horse not tested this week. 

All prices are dollars per ton and FOB the farm or ranch unless otherwise 

stated. Delivered prices include freight, commissions and other expenses. 

According to the USDA-NASS report issued June 30, 2014 all hay in Idaho is 

down 10,000 acres from 2013 levels. Alfalfa acreage is down 40,000 acres from 

2013 and other hay is up 30,000 acres from 2013.
