Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, May 08, 2012

Feed ingredient prices were mostly steady to lower. Demand was light to
moderate with spring pasture more readily available. The wheat millfeeds had
the most strength of the week.
Oilseeds:
The July Soybean Meal futures closed 16.90 lower at 417.30; August closed
19.80 lower at 407.60. The July Soybean Oil futures closed 164 points lower at
53.27 cents per pound; August closed 163 points lower at 53.47 cents per pound.
The high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 11.90 to 16.90 lower from 392.30-
396.30; the basis was steady to 5.00 higher from 25.00-21.00 under the July
futures. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was 5.00 higher from 275.00-280.00 in
North Dakota-Minnesota areas. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was
5.00 higher from 230.00-235.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Soybean Oil
in Minnesota was 164 points lower from 51.77-52.77 cents per pound; the basis
was steady from 50-150 points under the July futures.
Animal Protein:
Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was steady to 5.00 higher from 450.00-
480.00 for ruminant; Pork was 550.00. Yellow Grease ranged 44.00-44.50 cents per
pound. Choice White Grease was 175 to 275 points higher from 50.50-53.50 cents
per pound. Feather Meal was 10.00 to 25.00 higher from 550.00-575.00.
Millfeeds:
Wheat Middlings were 11.00 to 12.00 higher from 150.00-155.00. The Sacked
Bran was steady at 12.75 cwt.
