Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, January 22, 2013

Feed ingredient prices were mixed this past week. Trade was continued to be
relatively slow.
Oilseeds:
The March Soybean Meal futures closed 9.70 higher at 421.60; May closed 9.10
higher at 415.80. The March Soybean Oil futures closed 156 points higher at
52.43 cents per pound; May closed 157 points higher at 52.79 cents per pound.
The high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 9.70 higher from 418.60-427.60;
the basis was steady from 3.00 under to 6.00 over the March futures. Linseed
Meal, 34 pct protein was steady with limited offers at 295.00 in North Dakota-
Minnesota areas. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was steady to 5.00
lower at 250.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Soybean Oil in Minnesota
was 156 to 206 points higher from 49.93-50.68 cents per pound; the basis was
steady to 50 points higher from 250-175 points under the March futures.
Animal Protein:
Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was steady to 5.00 higher from 355.00-
385.00 for ruminant; Pork ranged 425.00-450.00. Yellow Grease was 50 to 150
points higher from 37.50-40.00cents per pound. Choice White Grease was 125 to
150 points higher from 43.50-44.00 cents per pound. Feather Meal was steady to
15.00 higher from 675.00-700.00. Blood Meal was 5.00 to 40.00 higher from
1115.00-1150.00 for ruminant and pork was 1250.00.
Millfeeds:
Wheat Middlings were 3.00 to 5.00 higher from 200.00-220.00. The Sacked Bran
was 25 cents higher at 17.75 cwt.
