Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Feed ingredient prices were mostly lower this past week. Trades were
limited. Wheat Midds were higher once again as several mills had decreased run
times.
Oilseeds:
The March Soybean Meal futures closed 28.20 lower at 410.30; May closed 25.80
lower at 409.50. The March Soybean Oil futures closed 188 points lower at 51.10
cents per pound; May closed 185 points lower at 51.45 cents per pound. The high
protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 28.20 to 29.20 lower from 404.30-416.30;
the basis was steady to 1.00 lower from 6.00 under to 6.00 over the March
futures. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was steady to 5.00 lower from 290.00-
315.00 in North Dakota-Minnesota areas. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct
protein was steady at 240.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Soybean Oil in
Minnesota was 138 to 188 points lower at 49.35 cents per pound; the basis was
steady to 50 points higher at 175 points under the March futures.
Animal Protein:
Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was mostly steady to 20.00 higher from
380.00-420.00 for ruminant; Pork ranged 455.00-490.00. Yellow Grease was steady
to 50 points lower from 38.00-39.00 cents per pound. Choice White Grease was
steady to 50 points lower at 43.50 cents per pound. Feather Meal was steady to
30.00 higher from 700.00-730.00. Blood Meal was steady to 50.00 higher from
1100.00-1110.00 for ruminant and pork was 1100.00-1150.00.
Millfeeds:
Wheat Middlings were 5.00 to 10.00 higher from 220.00-235.00. The Sacked
Bran was 50 cents lower at 17.75 cwt.
