Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, March 05, 2013

Feed ingredient prices were mostly higher this past week. Supply of some
Ingredients were limited.
Oilseeds:
The May Soybean Meal futures closed 9.10 higher at 435.90; July closed 10.50
higher at 430.90. The May Soybean Oil futures closed 74 points higher at 50.13
cents per pound; July closed 65 points higher at 50.38 cents per pound. The high
protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 8.20 higher from 425.90-435.90; the basis
ranged 10.00 under to +0 (option) the May futures. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein
was steady from 300.00-315.00 in North Dakota-Minnesota areas. Sunflower Meal,
13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was steady from 230.00-235.00 in the North Dakota-
Minnesota area. Soybean Oil in Minnesota was 74 points higher from 48.63-48.88
cents per pound; the basis was steady from 150-125 points under the May futures.
Animal Protein:
Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was 25.00 to 60.00 higher from 425.00-
515.00 for ruminant; Pork ranged 500.00-575.00. Yellow Grease was 50 to 200
points higher from 37.50-40.00 cents per pound. Choice White Grease was steady
to 175 points higher from 43.50-45.75 cents per pound. Feather Meal was 25.00 to
30.00 higher from 750.00-815.00. Blood Meal was steady to 50.00 higher from
1100.00-1150.00 for ruminant and pork ranged 1150.00-1175.00.
Millfeeds:
Wheat Middlings were 3.00 to 10.00 lower from 212.00-225.00. The Sacked Bran
was 50 cents higher at 18.25 cwt.
