Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Feed ingredient prices were mostly mixed this past week. Supply of some
ingredients continued to be in limited supply.
Oilseeds:
The May Soybean Meal futures closed 24.60 lower at 411.60; July closed 23.50
lower at 405.70. The May Soybean Oil futures closed 50 points lower at 49.48
cents per pound; July closed 51 points lower at 49.72 cents per pound. The high
protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 24.60 lower at 401.60; the basis was
steady at 10.00 under the May futures. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was steady
to 15.00 lower at 300.00 in North Dakota-Minnesota areas. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct
fiber, 34 pct protein was steady to 5.00 lower at 230.00 in the North Dakota-
Minnesota area. Soybean Oil in Minnesota was steady to 25 points lower at 48.73
cents per pound; the basis was 25 to 50 points higher at 75 points under the May
futures.
Animal Protein:
Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was steady to 25.00 higher from 450.00-
505.00 for ruminant; Pork ranged 525.00-540.00. Yellow Grease was steady to 50
points higher from 38.50-40.00 cents per pound. Choice White Grease was steady
from 46.00-46.50 cents per pound. Feather Meal was steady to 10.00 higher from
750.00-825.00. Blood Meal was steady to 25.00 lower from 1075.00-1110.00 for
ruminant and pork ranged 1150.00-1175.00.
Millfeeds:
Wheat Middlings were steady to 5.00 lower from 205.00-220.00. The Sacked
Bran was 50 cents lower at 17.75 cwt.
