Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, April 30, 2013

Feed ingredient prices were mixed this past week. The most weakness was in
the Wheat Millfeeds which were under pressure with the longer run times.
The May Soybean Meal futures closed 16.60 higher at 428.30; July closed 16.60
higher at 414.50. The July Soybean Oil futures closed 81 points higher at 49.22
cents per pound; August closed 77 points higher at 49.04 cents per pound. The
high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 19.60 to 23.60 higher from 438.30-
440.30; the basis was 3.00 to 7.00 higher from 10.00 to 12.00 over the May
futures. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was 15.00 higher from 325.00-330.00 in
North Dakota-Minnesota areas. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was
steady from 215.00-225.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Soybean Oil in
Minnesota was 106 to 131 points higher at 50.22 cents per pound; the basis 25 to
50 points higher at 100 points over the July futures.
Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was 5.00 lower from 420.00-445.00 for
ruminant; Pork ranged 470.00-490.00. Yellow Grease was 100 to 150 points lower
from 36.00-38.50 cents per pound. Choice White Grease was 50 to 350 points lower
from 40.00-43.00 cents per pound. Feather Meal was steady to 50.00 lower from
660.00-700.00. Blood Meal was steady to 10.00 lower from 1050.00-1095.00 for
ruminant and pork ranged 1100.00-1115.00.
Wheat Middlings were 20.00 lower from 185.00-195.00. The Sacked Bran was 25
cents lower at 17.50 cwt.
