The USDA Market News Service reports feed ingredient prices for the week ending
August 07, were mixed. Soybean Meal was 23.00 to 40.40 lower. Cottonseed Meal
was 5.00 lower to 10.00 higher. Whole Cottonseed was 10.00 lower to 5.00
higher. Canola Meal was 34.10 to 41.00 lower. Linseed Meal was 10.00 lower.
Sunflower Meal was steady to 10.00 higher. Crude Soybean Oil was 103 to 168
points lower. Crude Corn Oil was steady to 50 points lower. Meat and Bone Meal
was 35.00 lower to 10.00 higher. Blood Meal was 100.00 lower in California.
Feather Meal was steady to 50.00 higher. Fish Meal was steady to 50.00 higher.
Corn Hominy was 5.00 lower to 35.00 higher, mostly 10.00 to 35.00 higher. Corn
Gluten Feed was 5.00 lower to 10.00 higher, mostly steady to 10.00 higher. Corn
Gluten Meal was 10.00 to 30.00 higher. Distillers Dried Grains were 7.00 lower
to 25.00 higher. Wheat Middlings were 2.00 lower to 34.00 higher, mostly 2.00 to
34.00 higher.
OILSEEDS: On Tuesday, August 07, the August Soybean Meal futures closed 32.40
lower at 512.30; September closed 22.40 lower at 491.60. The September Soybean
Oil futures closed 126 points lower at 51.52 cents per pound; October closed 128
points lower at 50.71 cents per pound. Offers of high protein Soybean Meal in
Central Illinois were 32.40 lower from 544.30-546.30; Iowa was 33.410 to 40.40
lower from 512.30-529.60; Kansas City was 27.40 to 34.40 lower from 523.30-
537.30; Minneapolis was 27.40 to 36.40 lower from 518.30-529.30; St. Louis was
23.00 to 25.00 lower from 567.00-590.00; Memphis was 32.10 to 40.10 lower from
550.20-558.20; Portland was 23.10 to 32.40 lower from 552.60-567.30; BN Santa Fe
delivered Chino Valley was 33.10 to 36.40 lower from 571.60-578.30; Union
Pacific delivered Chino Valley was 30.10 to 31.40 lower from 574.60-575.30.
Cottonseed Meal FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was 5.00 lower
to 10.00 higher with offers from 410.00-415.00; Kansas City was 2.00 to 7.50
higher from 430.00-442.00; St. Louis was steady from 420.00-435.00; Memphis was
steady to 5.00 higher from 400.00-405.00. Whole Cottonseed FOB the Central San
Joaquin Valley in California was steady to 5.00 higher with offers from 400.00-
410.00; Whole Cottonseed delivered to Portland was 5.00 to 10.00 lower from
400.00-410.00; Memphis was 5.00 lower at 295.00. Offers for nearby delivered
Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, delivered to Portland was 34.10 to 41.00
lower from 351.60-398.00. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was 10.00 lower from
355.00-365.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Sunflower Meal, 23 pct fiber,
28 pct protein was steady to 10.00 higher from 345.00-360.00 in the North
Dakota-Minnesota area. The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 126 points lower
from 49.54-50.49 cents per pound; Iowa was 103 to 168 points lower from 49.52-
50.12 cents per pound; Minnesota was 136 to 168 points lower from 50.02-50.12
cents per pound. Crude Corn Oil in Central Illinois was steady to 50 points
lower from 55.50-57.00 cents per pound.
ANIMAL PROTEINS: Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. was steady to 5.00
higher from 430.00-440.00; Pork ranged 525.00-530.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle
was steady to 12.00 lower at 430.00; Minneapolis was steady to 5.00 higher from
415.00-470.00, pork ranged 530.00-550.00; St. Louis was steady to 5.00 higher
from 430.00-455.00 for ruminant; Pork ranged 520.00-530.00; Portland FOB
production points was 5.00 to 35.00 lower from 355.00-435.00; FOB Central and
Northern California was not available; FOB Los Angeles was 5.00 lower to 10.00
higher at 350.00. Blood Meal in the Central U.S. had no quote; Pork ranged
1100.00-1200.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle was 1000.00; delivered to the San
Joaquin Valley was 100.00 lower at 1000.00. Feather Meal in Kansas City was
steady from 580.00-650.00; Minneapolis was steady to 50.00 higher from 600.00-
625.00; Arkansas was 5.00 to 20.00 higher from 635.00-645.00; Mississippi was
also 5.00 to 20.00 higher from 635.00-645.00. Menhaden Fish Meal was steady to
50.00 higher from 1200.00-1250.00 in the Gulf Coast for both FAQ and Select
qualities. The East Coast also ranged 1200.00-1250.00 for both the FAQ and
Select qualities.
CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was 5.00 lower to 10.00
higher from 250.00-260.00; Kansas City (Northwest) was 35.00 higher at 270.00;
St. Louis was 28.00 higher at 281.00; rail delivered California was not
available. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was 5.00 lower to 10.00
higher from 215.00-240.00; Kansas City was steady to 35.00 higher from 280.00-
340.00; St. Louis was steady to 3.00 higher from 250.00-268.00. Corn Gluten
Meal, 60 percent protein in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was 20.00 to 30.00 higher
from 650.00-750.00; Kansas City was 25.00 higher from 790.00-795.00; St. Louis
was 10.00 to 21.00 higher from 710.00-741.00; Memphis was 10.00 higher at
720.00. Distillers Dried Grain prices in Eastern Corn-belt were steady to 7.00
lower from 283.00-315.00; Chicago area was 5.00 higher at 305.00; Lawrenceburg,
IN was not available; Nebraska was steady to 3.50 lower from 295.00-362.50;
Minnesota was steady to 3.00 lower from 295.00-307.00; Kansas was 20.00 to 25.00
higher from 305.00-340.00; Iowa was 10.00 to 20.00 higher from 286.50-325.00;
Northern Missouri was 5.00 to 15.00 higher from 300.00-315.00; St. Louis was
5.00 higher from 305.00-325.00; Wisconsin was steady to 10.00 higher from
285.00-290.00; rail delivered California was 1.00 to 5.00 higher with offers
from 350.00-358.00.
WHEAT MILFEDS: Wheat Middlings in Buffalo, NY was 25.00 to 30.00 higher from
255.00-260.00; Kansas City was steady to 2.00 lower from 255.00-265.00;
Minneapolis was steady to 15.00 higher from 285.00-300.00; St. Louis was 5.00 to
34.00 higher from 284.00-315.00; Memphis was 20.00 higher at 345.00. Wheat
Millrun delivered Portland was steady at 230.00. Wheat millrun truck delivered
FOB Northern and Central California mills was not available; FOB Los Angeles
mill door was 2.00 to 8.00 higher with offers from 270.00-283.00.
OTHERS: Offers for rice bran were steady to 40.00 higher; millfeed was not
tested the previous week; hulls were steady. Alfalfa Meal was steady to 10.00
higher, mostly steady across the nation.
