The USDA Market News Service reports feed ingredient prices for the week ending
August 20, were mixed. Soybean Meal was 31.70 to 86.60 higher. Cottonseed Meal
was mixed, 5.00 lower to 13.00 higher. Whole Cottonseed was mixed, 10.00 lower
to 5.00 higher. Canola Meal was 3.20 to 4.20 lower. Linseed Meal was 5.00
lower in limited trade. Sunflower Meal was 5.00 lower. Crude Soybean Oil was
mixed, 198 points lower to 2 points higher, mostly 148 to 198 points lower.
Crude Corn Oil was steady. Ruminant Meat and Bone Meal was mixed, 10.00 lower
to 10.00 higher. Ruminant Blood Meal was steady to 25.00 lower. Feather Meal
was steady. Menhaden Fishmeal was 5.00 to 25.00 higher. Corn Hominy was mixed,
5.00 lower to 10.00 higher. Corn Gluten Feed was 25.00 lower to 10.00 higher.
Corn Gluten Meal was steady to 45.00 higher, mostly steady to 5.00 higher.
Distillers Dried Grains were mixed, 8.00 lower to 20.00 higher. Wheat Middlings
were mixed, 4.00 lower to 10.00 higher, mostly 5.00 higher.
OILSEEDS: On Tuesday, August 20, the September Soybean Meal futures closed
34.60 higher at 399.80; October closed 12.00 higher at 359.10. The September
Soybean Oil futures closed 198 points lower at 32.66 cents per pound; October
closed at 32.75 cents per pound. Offers of high protein Soybean Meal in Central
Illinois were 48.60 to 59.60 higher from 474.80-494.80; Iowa was 66.60 to 67.60
higher from 469.80-487.80; Kansas City was 47.60 to 49.60 higher from 472.80-
474.80; Minneapolis was 74.60 to 77.60 higher from 489.80; St. Louis was 50.00
to 54.00 higher from 502.00-517.00; Memphis was 31.70 to 49.60 higher at 492.10;
Portland was 36.60 to 47.60 higher from 526.80-539.80; BN Santa Fe delivered
Chino Valley was 39.60 to 86.60 higher from 500.80-551.80; Union Pacific
delivered Chino Valley was 83.60 to 86.60 higher from 544.80-551.80. Cottonseed
Meal FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was 4.00 to 13.00 higher
from 320.00-340.00; Kansas City was steady to 5.00 lower from 340.00-370.00; St.
Louis was not available; Memphis was steady at 300.00. Whole Cottonseed FOB the
Central San Joaquin Valley in California was 5.00 to 8.00 lower from 445.00-
452.00; delivered to Portland was steady to 10.00 lower at 465.00; Memphis was
5.00 higher at 340.00. Offers for nearby delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36
percent protein, delivered to Portland was 3.20 to 4.20 lower from 300.80-
310.00. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was 5.00 lower with limited offers in North
Dakota-Minnesota at 235.00. Sunflower Meal, 23 pct fiber, 28 pct protein was
5.00 lower at 150.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. The Soybean Oil in
Central Illinois was 148 points lower from 33.16-34.66 cents per pound; Iowa was
198 points lower from 33.91-34.91 cents per pound; Minnesota was mixed from 198
points lower to 2 points higher from 34.66-34.91 cents per pound. Crude Corn
Oil in Central Illinois was steady from 37.50-38.50 cents per pound.

525.00; Eastern Corn Belt had no recent price comparison available at 520.00;

steady to 5.00 lower at 190.00-195.00. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (IA, IL,

Gluten Meal, 60 percent protein in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was steady from

175.00. Wheat millrun FOB Los Angeles mill was 1.00 to 3.00 lower from 138.00-
165.00, FOB Northern and Central California mills was not available.
OTHERS: Offers for rice bran were mostly steady; rice millfeed was steady; rice
hulls were steady with limited current sales. Alfalfa Meal was mostly steady.
