The USDA Market News Service reports feed ingredient prices for the week ending
September 30, were mixed but mostly steady to lower. Soybean Meal was 37.50 to
167.50 lower. Cottonseed Meal was 5.00 to 25.00 higher. Whole Cottonseed was
steady to 60.00 lower, however mostly steady to 15.00 lower. Canola Meal was
0.50 to 30.00 lower. Linseed Meal was 80.00 to 155.00 lower. Sunflower Meal was
5.00 higher. Crude Soybean Oil was 4 to 14 points higher. Crude Corn Oil was
steady. Ruminant Meat and Bone Meal was mixed, 75.00 lower to 12.00 higher.
Ruminant Blood Meal was steady to 75.00 lower. Feather Meal was mixed, 15.00
lower to 10.00 higher, however mostly steady to 10.00 higher. Menhaden Fishmeal
was steady. Corn Hominy was steady to 5.00 lower. Corn Gluten Feed was 15.00
lower to 7.00 higher, however mostly steady to 15.00 lower. Corn Gluten Meal
was steady to 40.00 lower. Distillers Dried Grains were mixed, 10.00 lower to
5.00 higher. Wheat Middlings were mixed, 20.00 lower to 5.00 higher, however
mostly 5.00 lower to 5.00 higher.
OILSEEDS: On Tuesday, September 30, the October Soybean Meal futures closed
12.50 lower at 304.60; December closed ten lower at 298.90. The October Soybean
Oil futures closed 4 points higher at 32.27 cents per pound; December closed 5
points higher at 32.37 cents per pound. Offers of high protein Soybean Meal in
Central Illinois was 82.50 to 91.50 lower from 334.60-400.60; Iowa was 147.50 to
157.50 lower from 309.60-324.60; Kansas City was 167.50 lower at 319.60;
Minneapolis was 112.50 to 117.50 lower at 299.60; St. Louis was 103.00 to 162.00
lower from 353.00-456.00; Memphis was 161.30 lower at 368.10; Portland was 52.50
to 86.50 lower from 360.60-454.60; BN Santa Fe delivered Chino Valley was 37.50
to 72.40 lower from 364.60-384.60; Union Pacific delivered Chino Valley was
84.40 to 91.50 lower from 364.60-365.60. Cottonseed Meal FOB the Central San
Joaquin Valley in California was not available; Kansas City was 5.00 to 25.00
higher at 425.00-450.00; St. Louis was not available; Memphis was 375.00-430.00.
Whole Cottonseed FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was steady to
15.00 lower from 420.00-425.00; delivered to Portland was not available; Memphis
was 60.00 lower at 290.00. Offers for nearby delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36
percent protein, delivered to Portland were .50 to 30.00 lower from 241.60 to
280.00. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was 80.00 to 155.00 lower in North Dakota-
Minnesota at 220.00 in a limited test. Sunflower Meal, 23 pct fiber, 28 pct
protein was 5.00 higher from 140.00-145.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area.
The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 4 points higher from 33.27-34.77 cents
per pound; Iowa was 4 to 14 points higher from 34.27-35.62 cents per pound;
Minnesota was 4 to 14 points higher from 34.27-35.62 cents per pound. Crude
Corn Oil in Central Illinois was steady 34.00-35.00 cents per pound.

higher at 387.00; Minneapolis was 5.00 to 15.00 lower from 400.0-405.00; St.
Louis was steady to 10.00 lower from 400.00-410.00; Portland FOB production
points was 15.00 to 75.00 lower from 330.00-375.00; FOB Central and Northern
California was mixed 15.00 lower to 10.00 higher from 430.00-490.00; FOB Los
Angeles was steady to 10.00 higher from 430.00-450.00. Pork Meat and Bone Meal
in the Central U.S. was 15.00 to 30.00 lower from 375.00-390.00; Eastern Corn
Belt was 25.00 to 40.00 lower at 395.00; Minneapolis was 15.00 to 20.00 lower at
405.00 in a limited test; St Louis was mixed, 10.00 lower to 30.00 higher from

Millrun delivered Portland was 10.00 lower at 165.00. Wheat millrun FOB Los
Angeles mill was steady to 18.00 lower from 142.00-160.00, FOB Northern and
Central California mills were not available.
OTHERS: Offers for rice bran prices mostly steady, however Louisiana trending
10.00-20.00 lower; rice millfeed mostly steady on limited comparable sales;
