OKLAHOMA HAY MARKET REPORT
Alfalfa trade mostly moderate early but turned slow by the end of the week.
Demand was fairly good for dairy quality, light for all other offerings.
Burdensome supplies of Fair to Good quality alfalfa as well as rain damaged
alfalfa are a glut on the market. Grass hay trade extremely light on very
limited demand. Supplies of grass hay also very heavy. There are still offerings
of 2013 grass hay on the market. Hot, humid weather moved into the state this
week and field work is very active.
Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage at
www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged...
