OKLAHOMA HAY MARKET REPORT
Alfalfa trade and movement very light. Alfalfa demand light to moderate at best.
Grass hay trade extremely light with very light demand. All trades this week at
lower end of ranges as buyers and sellers frequently at a standoff. Sellers
mostly resisting bids lower than current levels. Rainfall in portions of
northern and east central Oklahoma very welcome this week. A few reports of
wheat planting noted but most wheat operators waiting for moisture. Seed bed
preparation well ahead of average in most of the state.
Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage at
www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged...
