Pacific Northwest Market Summary: Feed ingredient offers ended the
reporting week on Tuesday August 26, mixed compared to last week's offers.
Suncured alfalfa pellets, oats, and wheat millrun offers remained steady.
Canola meal, whole cottonseed, and barley trended steady to lower while corn
trended lower overall. Distillers dried grain and soybean meal trended higher
while meat and bone meal was mixed.
Oilseed Meal Markets: Offers for 47 percent protein Soybean Meal, for
nearby rail delivery, were 76.90 to 78.90 higher, from 603.70-618.70. Offers
for soybean meal truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were not available.
Offers for nearby rail delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, were
steady to 5.10 lower, from 295.70-310.00. Truck delivered canola meal offers,
34 to 36 percent protein, were also steady to 5.10 lower, from 310.70-325.00.
Whole Cottonseed: Whole Cottonseed offers for delivery to points in the
Pacific Northwest from the Midsouth in single boxcars were steady to 30.00
lower from 435.00-465.00. Offers for whole cottonseed trans-loaded onto trucks
and delivered to Willamette Valley dairies were 5.00-25.00, from 455.00-480.00.
Animal Proteins: Offers for 46 to 50 percent protein ruminant Meat and Bone
Meal, FOB Seattle plants, were steady to 25.00 lower, from 410.00-500.00.
Offers for ruminant meat and bone meal truck delivered to Portland and the
Willamette Valley were 25.00 lower to 5.00 higher, from 445.00-525.00.
Wheat Millrun: Feed mill offers for Wheat Millrun for nearby delivery,
loaded truck FOB the flour mill in Portland were steady, with limited offers at
175.00. Offers for wheat millrun truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were
also steady at 187.00. Flour mill offers for wheat millrun rail delivered to
Portland on the Burlington Northern Line from eastern Washington and eastern
Oregon for August through September delivery were not available, and offers for
October through December delivery were steady at 175.00. Offers for wheat
millrun FOB eastern Oregon and eastern Washington for August through December
delivery were 5.00 lower at 135.00.
Alfalfa Products: Offers for Suncured Alfalfa Pellets, 15 percent protein,
delivered by truck to the Willamette Valley were steady at 340.00.
Distillers Dried Grains: Offers for Distillers Dried Grains delivered in
August by rail to feed mills in the Pacific Northwest were steady to 17.00
higher, from 180.00-195.00. Offers for distillers dried grains trans-loaded
onto trucks and delivered during August to Willamette Valley dairies were also
steady to 17.00 higher, from 198.00-210.00.
Coarse Feeding Grains: Offers for US 2 Barley for nearby delivery to
Portland in single rail cars for domestic use were steady to 5.00 lower, from
185.00-195.00. Offers for US 2 Barley truck delivered to the Willamette Valley
held steady at 195.00-210.00. US 2 Yellow Corn offers for rail delivery to
points north of Seattle were 2.25 to 5.75 lower at 184.00. Offers for US 2
Yellow Corn rail delivered to points in the Seattle area were 2.25 to 5.75
lower, from 180.00-181.50. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn rail delivered to
Portland were 2.25 to 5.75 lower at 179.00. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn truck
delivered to the Willamette Valley were 2.25 to 5.75 lower, from 205.25-208.00.
US 2 Yellow Corn offers for truck delivery to the Yakima Valley were 2.25-2.50
lower, from 188.50-189.50. Chicago September corn futures closed at 3.5600
6.50 cents lower than last week's corn futures close of 3.6250. Offers for US
2 Heavy White Oats truck delivered to Portland and Willamette Valley were
steady, from 285.00-290.00.
