Pacific Northwest Market Summary: Feed ingredient offers ended the
reporting week on Tuesday, September 16, mixed compared to last week's offers.
Offers for soybean meal, distillers dried grains and meat and bone meal trended
lower. Corn offers trended mixed, mostly higher. Offers for barley, whole
cottonseed, wheat millrun, suncured alfalfa pellets and oats were steady.
Canola meal offers were not available.
Oilseed Meal Markets: Offers for 47 percent protein Soybean Meal, for
nearby rail delivery were 66.30 to 72.60 lower, from 551.10-566.10. Offers for
soybean meal truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were not available.
Offers for nearby rail delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, were
not available. Truck delivered canola meal offers, 34 to 36 percent protein,
were also not available.
Whole Cottonseed: Whole Cottonseed offers for delivery to points in the
Pacific Northwest from the Midsouth in single boxcars were steady, from 435.00-
485.00. Offers for whole cottonseed trans-loaded onto trucks and delivered to
Willamette Valley dairies were also steady, from 455.00-500.00.
Animal Proteins: Offers for 46 to 50 percent protein ruminant Meat and Bone
Meal, FOB Seattle plants, were 10.00 to 20.00 lower, from 390.00-480.00.
Offers for ruminant meat and bone meal truck delivered to Portland and the
Willamette Valley were also 10.00 to 20.00 lower, from 425.00-505.00.
Wheat Millrun: Feed mill offers for Wheat Millrun for nearby delivery,
loaded truck FOB the flour mill in Portland were steady, with limited offers at
175.00. Offers for wheat millrun truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were
also steady at 187.00. Flour mill offers for wheat millrun rail delivered to
Portland on the Burlington Northern Line from eastern Washington and eastern
Oregon for September delivery were not available, and offers for October
through December delivery were steady at 175.00. Offers for wheat millrun FOB
eastern Oregon and eastern Washington for September through December delivery
were 5.00 lower at 130.00.
Alfalfa Products: Offers for Suncured Alfalfa Pellets, 15 percent protein,
delivered by truck to the Willamette Valley were steady at 310.00.
Distillers Dried Grains: Offers for Distillers Dried Grains delivered in
September by rail to feed mills in the Pacific Northwest were 3.00 to 4.00
lower, from 176.00-185.00. Offers for distillers dried grains trans-loaded
onto trucks and delivered during September to Willamette Valley dairies were
also 3.00 to 4.00 lower, from 194.00-200.00.
Coarse Feeding Grains: Offers for US 2 Barley for nearby delivery to
Portland in single rail cars for domestic use were steady, from 180.00-195.00.
Offers for US 2 Barley truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were also
steady, from 190.00-200.00. US 2 Yellow Corn offers for rail delivery to
points north of Seattle were 75 cents to 3.25 higher at 179.50-183.00. Offers
for US 2 Yellow Corn rail delivered to points in the Seattle area were mixed,
from 25 cents lower to 4.25 higher, from 175.50-180.50. Offers for US 2 Yellow
Corn rail delivered to Portland were 75 cents to 3.25 higher from 174.50-
178.00. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn truck delivered to the Willamette Valley
were mixed, from 50 cents lower to 50 cents higher, from 197.00-203.50. US 2
Yellow Corn offers for truck delivery to the Yakima Valley were 3.00 higher,
from 179.25-182.00. Chicago December corn futures closed at 3.4375, 0.50 of a
cent lower than last week's corn futures close of 3.4425. Offers for US 2
Heavy White Oats truck delivered to Portland and Willamette Valley were steady,
