Pacific Northwest Market Summary: Feed ingredient offers ended the
reporting week on Tuesday, September 23, mixed compared to last week's offers.
Offers for corn, soybean meal and meat and bone meal trended lower, while
offers for barley and whole cottonseed were steady to lower. Distillers dried
grains, wheat millrun, suncured alfalfa pellets and oats offers trended steady.
Offers for canola meal had no recent price comparison available.
Oilseed Meal Markets: Offers for 47 percent protein Soybean Meal, for
nearby rail delivery were 67.20 to 112.20 lower, from 438.90-498.90. Offers
for soybean meal truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were not available.
Offers for nearby rail delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, had no
recent price comparison available, from 233.90-310.00. Truck delivered canola
meal offers, 34 to 36 percent protein, also had no recent price comparison
available, from 248.90-325.00.
Whole Cottonseed: Whole Cottonseed offers for delivery to points in the
Pacific Northwest from the Midsouth in single boxcars were steady to 10.00
lower, from 425.00-485.00. Offers for whole cottonseed trans-loaded onto
trucks and delivered to Willamette Valley dairies were also steady to 10.00
lower, from 445.00-500.00.
Animal Proteins: Offers for 46 to 50 percent protein ruminant Meat and Bone
Meal, FOB Seattle plants, were 30.00 to 45.00 lower, from 345.00-450.00.
Offers for ruminant meat and bone meal truck delivered to Portland and the
Willamette Valley were also 30.00 to 45.00 lower, from 380.00-475.00.
Wheat Millrun: Feed mill offers for Wheat Millrun for nearby delivery,
loaded truck FOB the flour mill in Portland were steady, with limited offers at
175.00. Offers for wheat millrun truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were
also steady at 187.00. Flour mill offers for wheat millrun rail delivered to
Portland on the Burlington Northern Line from eastern Washington and eastern
Oregon for September delivery were not available, and offers for October
through December delivery were steady at 175.00. Offers for wheat millrun FOB
eastern Oregon and eastern Washington for September through December delivery
were steady at 130.00.
Alfalfa Products: Offers for Suncured Alfalfa Pellets, 15 percent protein,
delivered by truck to the Willamette Valley were steady at 310.00.
Distillers Dried Grains: Offers for Distillers Dried Grains delivered in
September by rail to feed mills in the Pacific Northwest were steady, from
176.00-185.00. Offers for distillers dried grains trans-loaded onto trucks and
delivered during September to Willamette Valley dairies were also steady, from
Coarse Feeding Grains: Offers for US 2 Barley for nearby delivery to
Portland in single rail cars for domestic use were steady to 10.00 lower, from
180.00-185.00. Offers for US 2 Barley truck delivered to the Willamette Valley
were steady to 5.00 lower, from 190.00-195.00. US 2 Yellow Corn offers for
rail delivery to points north of Seattle were 2.75 to 5.00 lower at 174.50-
180.25. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn rail delivered to points in the Seattle
area were 2.75 to 4.50 lower, from 171.00-177.75. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn
rail delivered to Portland were 2.75 to 4.75 higher from 169.75-175.25. Offers
for US 2 Yellow Corn truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were 2.00 to 5.50
lower, from 195.00-198.00. US 2 Yellow Corn offers for truck delivery to the
Yakima Valley were 5.75 to 6.50 lower, from 172.75-176.25. Chicago December
corn futures closed at 3.2550, 18.25 cents lower than last week's corn futures
close of 3.4375. Offers for US 2 Heavy White Oats truck delivered to Portland
and Willamette Valley were steady, from 280.00-285.00.
