Pacific Northwest Market Summary: Feed ingredient offers ended the
reporting week on Tuesday, October 14, mixed but mostly steady to higher
compared to last week's offers. Offers for corn and soybean meal trended
higher, while offers for distillers dried grains trended steady to higher.
Canola meal, barley, wheat millrun, suncured alfalfa pellets, and oats offers
trended steady, while meat and bone meal offers were steady to lower. Offers
for whole cottonseed were not available.
Oilseed Meal Markets: Offers for 47 percent protein Soybean Meal, for
nearby rail delivery were 2.00 to 10.00 higher, from 393.00-404.00. Offers for
soybean meal truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were not available.
Offers for nearby rail delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, were
steady, from 276.00-295.00. Truck delivered canola meal offers, 34 to 36
percent protein, were also steady, from 291.00-310.00
Whole Cottonseed: Whole Cottonseed offers for delivery to points in the
Pacific Northwest from the Midsouth in single boxcars were not available.
Offers for whole cottonseed trans-loaded onto trucks and delivered to
Willamette Valley dairies were also not available.
Animal Proteins: Offers for 46 to 50 percent protein ruminant Meat and Bone
Meal, FOB Seattle plants, were steady to 5.00 higher from 335.00-375.00.
Offers for ruminant meat and bone meal truck delivered to Portland and the
Willamette Valley were also 5.00 higher from 370.00-400.00.
Wheat Millrun: Feed mill offers for Wheat Millrun for nearby delivery,
loaded truck FOB the flour mill in Portland were steady with limited offers at
165.00. Offers for wheat millrun truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were
also steady at 177.00. Flour mill offers for wheat millrun rail delivered to
Portland on the Burlington Northern Line from eastern Washington and eastern
Oregon for October delivery were steady at 155.00. Offers for wheat millrun
FOB eastern Oregon and eastern Washington for October through December delivery
were not available.
Alfalfa Products: Offers for Suncured Alfalfa Pellets, 15 percent protein,
delivered by truck to the Willamette Valley were steady at 310.00.
Distillers Dried Grains: Offers for Distillers Dried Grains delivered in
September by rail to feed mills in the Pacific Northwest were steady to 4.00
higher, from 173.00-185.00. Offers for distillers dried grains trans-loaded
onto trucks and delivered during September to Willamette Valley dairies were
also steady to 4.00 higher, from 191.00-200.00.
Coarse Feeding Grains: Offers for US 2 Barley for nearby delivery to
Portland in single rail cars for domestic use were steady, from 180.00-185.00.
Offers for US 2 Barley truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were also
steady, from 190.00-195.00. US 2 Yellow Corn offers for rail delivery to
points north of Seattle were not available. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn rail
delivered to points in the Seattle area were not available. Offers for US 2
Yellow Corn rail delivered to Portland were not available. Offers for US 2
Yellow Corn truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were 6.00 to 7.00 higher,
from 209.00-209.75. US 2 Yellow Corn offers for truck delivery to the Yakima
Valley were 6.00 to 7.50 higher, from 191.50-194.00. Chicago December corn
futures closed at 3.57, 16.50 cents higher than last week's corn futures close
of 3.4050. Offers for US 2 Heavy White Oats truck delivered to Portland and
Willamette Valley were steady, from 250.00-265.00.
