Tons: 6985 Last Week: 7230 Last Year: 5940
Compared to last week, Alfalfa for domestic use 5.00-10.00 lower in a light
test, as dairies use other feedstuffs for rations. Export hay not tested this week
as fears of a west coast port shutdown by longshoreman whose labor contract ended
last July is slowing export trade. Trade sources are already reporting work
slowdowns at Washington ports. Trade slow this week as rain showers were wide
spread across the trade area. Export Timothy not tested this week. Retail/Feedstore
hay steady. All prices are dollars per ton and FOB the farm or ranch unless
otherwise stated. Delivered prices include freight, commissions and other expenses.
