Compared to last week, 5.00 to 15.00 in a limited comparison for
alfalfa, grass not well tested last week for comparison but a higher
undertone is evident. Very good demand for all classes of hay as supply
is very tight for this time of year. Drought conditions remain in the
southern tier and all of the western side of the state.
Alfalfa: Premium: Large Squares 250.00. Good: Large Squares 250.00. Fair: Large Squares 230.00-240.00. Utility: Large Squares and Rounds 180.00-190.00.
Sun-cured Alfalfa pellets: 17 pct 275.00, 15 pct 265.00. Alfalfa Meal: 17
pct 278.00.
Mixed Alfalfa/Grass: No reported sales.
Grass: Premium: Large Squares 220.00. Fair: Large Rounds 165.00.
Corn Stalks: Large Rounds 70.00.
