Weekly Utah Hay Market Report
 
Utah Hay prices prices mostly strong. Harvest on going  with  trading  moderate
on all  dairy quality and  on other quality's of hay.  Lower quality hay demand
is light with good supplies. Confirmed sales 8,975 tons. Guidelines for Alfalfa
Hay: Visual exam and intent of sale; Relative Feed Value (RFV); Acid  Detergent
Fiber (ADF); Crude Protein (CP).  USDA  Grades  are  based  on 100%  Dry Matter
content. All  prices are  in dollars per ton,  FOB at  stack, Unless  Otherwise
noted.  Bales  large and small.  Cubes  all sales FOB slab, Unless noted.

Central  Area: Alfalfa:  Supreme No 1 dairy 230.00-250.00; Premium Dairy: 190.00-220.00; Good Feeder: 160.00-180.00. Fair: 130.00-155.00;
Low: 100.00-120.00: Oat Hay: No Quotes.
Premium retail horse sales: 230.00-260.00.

Southern  Area:  Alfalfa:  Supreme  No 1 dairy: 230.00-250.00; Premium Dairy:
200.00-225.00; Good Feeder: 180.00-200-00; Fair: 150.00-170.00;
Low: no quotes.
Premium retail horse sales No Quotes.

Uintah Basin: Alfalfa: Supreme #1 dairy: 210.00-240.00; Premium dairy: 190.00-
220.00; Good Feeder: 150.00-185.00;  Fair: scarce; Low: scarce.
Premium retail horse sales Lot Sale 250.00.

Note: Fair & Low quality hay can be weedy, or weather damaged or all of the above.
