Daily National Grain Market Summary
Soybeans had double-digit losses with corn and wheat closing with slight
gains. Corn rallied at the close to close near unchanged. Soybeans failed to
show any strength on Monday as favorable weather conditions help to spark
selling pressure. Wheat had modest gains as corn rallied late in the day.
Wheat closed 3-4 cents higher. Corn traded unchanged to 2 cents higher.
Soybeans closed 12-14 cents lower.
Grains inspected for export for week ending May 03, 2012: Wheat totaled 24.1
million bushels, up 4.3 million bushels; corn 29.3 million bushels, up 4.2
million bushels; sorghum 178 thousand bushels, dn 463 thousand bushels and
soybeans 10.0 million bushels, dn 5.7 million bushels compared to a week ago.
Year to Date: Wheat totaled 940.4 dn 227.1 million; corn 1109.2 dn 81.9
million; sorghum 41.3 million dn 62.5 million, and soybeans 1099.3 dn 267.2
million. Crop marketing years begin June 1 for wheat and September 1 for corn,
sorghum, and soybeans.
