Illinois Grain Prices in Country Elevators
This is Thursday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by
the USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Thursday afternoon. Higher soybean
futures gained strength from sharply higher soybean meal values. Technical
trading at the Board of Trade and lower than expected weekly export sales figures
weighed on wheat prices.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids
were steady to 2 cents lower at 7.30-7.58. Soybean bids were 25 to 29 cents higher
at 14.35-14.50.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were steady to
3 cents lower at 7.42-7.58. Soybean bids were 28 to 29 cents higher at 14.58-14.73.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were steady at 7.22-7.68.
