IMPORT BEEF TRADE
Compared to Last Week: Market activity on imported beef was very slow
and prices were mostly weak to 1.00 lower on a very light market test.
Profit taking ahead of the holiday period lead to the slightly weaker
pricing. Post-holiday offers remained mostly steady. Import supplies
were very scarce as the packing plants in Australia and New Zealand
remained closed during the holiday season.
