Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Friday
So far for Friday, trading was moderate on light to moderate demand in the Texas
Panhandle. Compared to last week, live sales traded 2.00 lower at 106.00. In
Kansas, trading was slow to moderate on moderate to demand. Compared to Thursday,
live sales sold steady at 106.00. On Wednesday, dressed sales traded at 168.00.
Trading was slow on light demand in Nebraska. On Wednesday, live sales sold from
105.00 to 106.00. Compared to Thursday, dressed sales traded steady at 170.00. In
Colorado, trading was mostly inactive on light demand. Not enough sales to fully
establish a market trend. On Thursday, live sales sold at 105.50 and dressed sales
traded at 170.00. Trading was slow on light demand in the Western Cornbelt. On
Thursday, live sales sold from 105.00 to 107.00 and dressed sales traded from 170.00
to 172.00.
