Soybeans: Exports Up 23% From Previous Week

Net sales of 929,600 MT for delivery in 2009/10 were up 23 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for China (700,400 MT, including 226,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 40,200 MT), Mexico (113,100 MT), Egypt (80,700 MT, including 33,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Germany (77,300 MT, including 70,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Netherlands (64,900 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Spain (63,200 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,800 MT). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (424,600 MT). Net sales of 61,000 MT for delivery in 2010/11 were primarily for unknown destinations (55,000 MT).

Exports of 1,546,600 MT were down 5 percent from the previous week, but up 22 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (859,600 MT), Spain (123,200 MT), Mexico (81,200 MT), Germany (77,300 MT), the Netherlands (64,900 MT), and Japan (60,300 MT).
