Foot-and-mouth disease was detected in four head of cattle on a farm in northwest China according to an official from the Ministry of Agriculture.
The cattle were located in Pengyang county, Guyuan city, Xinhua the official said Feb. 22. Bernama reports the cattle tested positive for the O-type virus.
The four infected cattle, along with 22 others in the herd, have been culled and disposed to contain the virus.
