Cargill Food Distribution is providing beef produced from grass-finished and grain-finished cattle in Australia through an agreement with Teys Australia announced Monday.

John Niemann, president of Wichita-based Cargill Food Distribution, says Teys has produced quality beef products in Australia for the past 67 years, operating in a vertically integrated business managing cattle from the ranch through processing and distribution.

Michael Forrest, Teys USA general manager based in Chicago, looks forward to the opportunity, stating the agreement exposes Teys beef products to new customers.

"Teys is excited by the opportunity to offer their high quality Australian beef products to American consumers through the Cargill Food Distribution (CFD) network," Forrest said in a release.
