Love is in the air at the American Angus Association® — well, that is, for Libby Lopez of Napa Valley Angus in Byron, Calif. Libby is part of the new CBS hit series “3,” which premieres tonight at 9 p.m. (central). The show centers on three women looking for love.
So what does her dad, Association lifetime member Dennis Lopez, think about all of this? Find out during tonight’s program, as he is interviewed about his daughter and what life is like on the Napa Valley Angus ranch.
“This was a great opportunity for me to educate the public about not just the Angus industry, but also the cattle industry as a whole,” Dennis says. “Cattle producers aren’t in the business to make a dollar; but instead we strive to produce a high-quality product people want to buy and eat.”
The Lopez family has been in the Angus industry for more than 122 years and is a recipient of the Historic Herd Award in recognition of 50 years of involvement in the American Angus Association.
“3” follows Libby, a 24 year-old model, and two other women during a journey to find love with potential suitors from throughout the country. In a description by CBS, Libby is described as: “as a model who is steadfast in her religious beliefs.”
Dennis agrees and says the series gave Libby an ideal opportunity to share her life on the ranch with her dates, and essentially America. And has it been worth it?
“My daughter is living the dream, falling in love, and has got it all,” Dennis says.
