Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:00 PM

Today's Estimate Sales Volume:   none  

 Trading was inactive in all areas Friday on light demand.  Estimated
cattle slaughter for Friday was 119,000, and 5,000 for Saturday for a
weekly total of 622,000. Boxed beef values were called lower on light to
moderate demand and moderate offerings.  Choice closed down .90 at 177.61
and Select closed down 1.36 at 175.30 on 155 total loads.

and again on the National Daily Direct Slaughter Cattle Formula Purchases
Reports as net prices.

Included in this report are negotiated cash and negotiated grid prices 
and volume collected from feedlots or their representatives cooperating 
on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and 
more frequently during active trading periods.
